guest blogger: erica from decorica

Hi all, and please welcome my friend, in blog world and in the real world, Erica from Decorica. Erica's a very talented designer—and I know because I've had the pleasure of working with her and seeing her mad skills in person. And if you want to see gorgeous rooms—and find out what makes them work and how to recreate them in your own home, you must read her blog.

As I write this post, it is the last official day of Summer, but I am eagerly looking forward to a Fall full of design projects, sweaters, and my new leather boots! One of my favorite things about Fall are the colors; orange, rust, mustard yellow, earthy greens, and of course caramel browns.

Mmmm, caramel...got me thinking about decorating for Fall with candy and edible goodies. How fun right? Candies like butterscotch, candy corn, and caramel scream Fall with their wonderful warm colors. So what better to decorate with than sweet candy for the Fall?!

These are some great ideas:
  • Fill glass jars and vases with candy corn and M&M's
  • Make a wreath out of wrapped caramels and candy
  • Add pumpkins and lanterns to your candy vignette

And if you have more than a "candy corn" budget,
warm furnishings and walls coated in earthy Fall tones will hit your sweet spot. Happy Fall!

Thanks for reading my post and a special thanks to my friend Casey for asking me to guest post, and who I hope is experiencing a wonderful Fall in Italy.
